Salam Sejahtera warga GO :idea:
Saya sumbangkan waypoint gunung n beberapa waypoint yang saya rakamkan n dapat di malsingmaps.com.
Anda boleh dpwnload dari link <http://www.malsingmaps.com/forum/users/epultone/> saya akan postkan track n waypoint g stong n ayam bila saya panjat gunung tersebut awal bulan 6 nanti :)

salam sejahtera buat fs n warga GO,
maaf kerana lambat balas pasal week end ari 2 ke labuan buat program untuk sambutan hari belia peringkat w.p Labuan.
persatuan kami kene turunkan sepandok dari atas bumbung dewan masyarakat labuan :)
saya mengunakan garmin vista je :oops: tak lah canggih sangat tapi oklah buat masa nie (belum cukup $$$$$ nak gantikan yang baru :) )
ok track n waypoint yang ada nie hanya lah sebahagian dari sumbangan saya pada warga GO . harap ade yang hendak kongsi bersama trek yang mereka ada tu :idea:
buat bett mungkin kita boleh jumpa bila saya ke semenanjung hujung bulan nie untuk bincang pasal gps n tukar2 waypoint n track yang ada dengan saya n mungkin tolong supaya u boleh view track n track yang ada dengan saya 8)

I tgh install the latest version of malsing map installer v2.32 on my vista :) POI yang ada 2 bukan my own tapi I compile dari malsing members for our friends at GO share among us mountain climbers n outdoor lovers yang suka menyondol 2.(yang menyondol mengunakan gps :) ) can u xplain kat mane conflict benda 2 supaya dapat I rectified the problem.
fs u pakai gps jenis pe n model maner?

i'm using 60CSx, the same model that asichia is using...

if you d/load her track log, you can see that the summit of gng besar hantu is still within n9, while yours is already in pahang. i haven't calculated the "off" distance. but, i'm certain the error is substantial. her tracklog accuracy range is within 10m (30feet).

have you tracked with your vista, aside from the tracklog to pacat? would like to know your accuracy range.

i haven't tried mine in forest yet, but the best range is within 3m (10feet).

btw, a bit off the mark would be acceptable... coz all kinds of gpsr got the plus minus (range) accuracy. 8)

hmmm... can't wait to test mine, outdoors. currently, i usually use it for routing. ie. if i'm at tesco, puchong.... and i wanna get to bukit jelutong... i can actually use the routing function. so, when i'm driving, i can glance at the map (gpsr), and when i need to turn, it will prompt turn right/left with a beep. hehehe, very useful navigation tool. the best part is, if i take a wrong turn, i don't have to worry, it will recalculate a new route to the same destination in seconds. :)

been a very good help... on the road. will try it out in the woods soon... (but, i wanna put in a 1GB memory first)

ur set is better than mine cos of the reception and xpendable memory n the best part its color :cry:
my vista was used for my Gunung Buda national Park xpdtion, but the canopy overhead limited my reception :cry: that why i dont have the track log from Kuala terikan (head Hunters trail) to G Buda Base camp. I try to search the track log in my portable disk n will upload it in malsing for u guys out there.what is ur nick in malsing? mine epultone
Anyway after downloading the latest software update my set seems to be a bit more sensative in reception :)
I be hiking up to gunung stong n ayam with my cousin(he using 60cs) this early june 8) n will upload this track for u guys :lol:

so far, i can still get reception in a 2storey building. so, i assume i won't be having much trouble in the woods... but, kena try 1st... then only can give a review...

emm... the new garmin firmware for my 60csx also makes it better for reception, but, do check the "range", it now goes so high, borderline being absurd(that's my personal opinion). takkan la nak track and say "it's here, give or take 50metres" :D

neways, how much u bought your vista, your cousin his 60cs?

got my vista at a good price of RM800 as 2nd hand n in showrom condition, are u using SKYPE internet phone, my nick at SKYPE is saifulborneo. as for the price my cousin paid for his GPS Im not very sure?? :)

saya rasa anda teruja untuk mmemeliki GPS n mungkin harga menjadi halangan :arrow: kalau harga nya mcam haversack yang anda pakai saya ingat 2 3 bulan lagi dah tentu anda beli.
ok ini saya cuba terangkan beberapa ciri yang ada pade gps.
1. muka surat mengesan satelit. bahagian ini ialah untuk memberitahu kita kedudukan setelit yang gps kita dapat kesan atas langit. biasanya set gps yang ada boleh mengesan 12 satelit tatapi ini semua bergantung pada kedudukan kita terlindung bawah pokok ke juga bergantung pada jenis antenna set kita pakai.apabila setelit dapat dikesan (sekurang2 tiga) gps akan memberi kedudukan longtitiude n latitiude garis lintang n garis bujur
2. bahagian peta (map) dalam muka surat peta kita akan nampak kedudukan kita. jadi bagi mereka yang mengunakan garmin kami mengunakan set peta malsing yang maner ada jalan dan kedudukan tempat2 menarik (POI)
3.waypoint ialah kedudukan yang kita nak tanda atau yang telah kita tanda. jadi jika kita dah ada waypoint dalam gps kita boleh mendapat kan jarak dan kedudukan dari tempat yang kiter berada sekarang.
4.track ialah tanda jalan yang telah kita lalu. biasanya apabila kita hendak membuat track kita akan meletak beberapa waypoint dalam track kita. contoh. track kita dari kaki gunung datuk ke puncak . kita akan letak kan waypoint keladi, banir, pokok tumbang, batu besar , wakaf n puncak. jadi setelah ade track nie kita boleh back track.

ok jimi 2 perkara asas kebanyak gps ader, fungsi2 lain dalam gps bergantung dengan model (harga yang anda bayar) anda boleh juga mengesan kelajuan anda berjalan, memandu, terbang. tahu ketinggian, tekanan udara, pusingan bulan, masa untuk memancing juga ader jugak game :)
