The Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA) is the ideal course for outdoor enthusiasts, river guides and other trip leading staff who often require a more extensive training than an Urban First Aid program. This course focuses on stabilisation, treatment and evacuation guidelines of patients in remote environment. More emphasis is placed on long term patient care management and specific injury evaluation.
This course is designed specifically to provide participants with the tools to make critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations. An extensive amount of time will be spent completing practical skills, case studies and scenarios designed to challenge participants’ decision making abilities. Adult and child CPR is also included in this course. The WAFA is recognised and recertifiable worldwide. Upon completion you will receive a WAFA Certification valid for 2 years with a one year grace period.
